Origami Owl Wait List

I started to hear about Origami Owl® and their beautiful Lockets a few months ago on Facebook.  A friend of mine had posted about how she was looking for a Origami Owl® Independent Designer. She also mentioned that there were not too many in the area just yet and wanted to purchase a locket as a gift. Since I was already a consultant for another company in the Direct Sales Industry, her post interested me immediately and I became curious to find out more.   I googled Origami Owl® and read up on how it was currently one of the fastest growing Direct Sales Companies in the country.  I continued to look into it even further and liked everything I read.  I then started to see myself actually selling Origami Owl®!  What?!? I had to be crazy to even be considering this! .  I was doing very well with my current company and just finished up my strongest year yet.  I am also a Mom of a baby and a toddler and anyone who has been through this stage of parenting knows there is just not too much time to be had with two little ones running around.   Not to mention I wasn't even sure how I was even going to share this exciting new dream with Jeff!  Surely, he would not be pleased.  However, I was still drawn to this exciting new company and had to find out for myself. I decided to interview possible mentors and find out everything I could to help make my decision easier. Since I was already experienced in the Direct Sales Industry, I had an idea on what questions to ask and also what qualities I wanted in a mentor.  I wanted a mentor who was friendly, positive, helpful, motivated and knowledgeable.
After speaking with a few Independent Designers, I was even more excited and even more convinced that Origami Owl® was a company I wanted to be a part of. A ground floor opportunity with a foundation for me to achieve my dreams and to help other women achieve theirs as well.

With Jeff's blessing, I signed up on January 30th to become an Origami Owl® Designer in Waiting. Although I only waited a few weeks, it felt like months since I was so excited! I couldn't wait to hit the ground running with this company and finally be a part of what I had been hearing about over the past month.
On February 12th I finally received my official invitation to join Origami Owl®. I was so excited to finally "get my wings!" What exactly is a Designer in Waiting (DIW)? A DIW is someone who wishes to become an Origami Owl® Independent Designer, however, has been put on a waiting list to control the number of Independent Designers Origami Owl® let in at one time. The demand to become an Independent Designer has been amazing and Origami Owl® has created a wait list to ensure the proper infrastructure and support staff are in place to handle the exponential growth.
The Origami Owl® wait list was also created because the living lockets became so popular so fast, that there simply wasn’t enough inventory to support the demand. Customers were waiting for 2-4 weeks for their orders. For a new Direct Sales company, this was not the right way to introduce their company to the world. At the same time, it was quite understandable as some Teams were selling over $100,000 in lockets for the month! Needless to say, there were more Independent Designers out there selling Lockets than inventory so a wait list was necessary.
How many are on the wait list? I just had a girl join my team this morning and her wait list number was 6,129. Currently Origami Owl® is allowing in 2,000 Independent Designers to join a week so she can expect to officially become an Independent Designer in 3-4 weeks.

So far, the wait list has been very successful in keeping everything on track. I hear constantly that, “I wish I got in when it was new.” Well the time is now, everything is still new and this is very much still a ground floor opportunity. My most recent designer who was invited to officially join this week is consultant 23,000. I am consultant 17,036. Can you imagine if you were the 23,000th consultant for a well known Direct Sales company today? For a small risk of only $149, you too can get in on the fun and start your own business and inspiring others. Would you like to create stories for people, connect people forever through charms and lockets. It is truly perfect for anyone and makes a perfect gift.

I foresee this company's growth to be tremendous in 2013 and beyond. Join my team and you will have one on one assistance and training from me. I am here for you every step of the way, either through building your locket or coaching you on helping others build theirs. If you would like to be a part of this amazing opportunity, email me at hootmamalockets@yahoo.com or join my team by going to my website and key in my designer number, 17036. Origami Owl® Starter Kit

After a 3 week wait on the Origami Owl® wait list, I finally received the exciting email that I was about to become an Origami Owl® Independent Designer!!  I couldn't believe it, I was so excited to finally start my journey!!!  There has been so much excitement surrounding this new company that I couldn't wait to finally be a part of it.  Origami Owl® first launched as a Direct Sales company in February of 2011. In October 2011, Origami Owl® officially signed their first Independent Designer. From there things just sky rocketed.  In April of 2012, Origami Owl® had to put a hold on designers due to growth that was just too rapid to handle for a new company. In May 2012, Origami Owl® launched the their official Wait List. The response has been unbelievable! In May when the wait list was activated, the average sign up was one designer per second in the first 24 hours. In June of 2012, waves of designers from the wait list began to be signed up.  When I signed up just a few weeks ago, Origami Owl® was releasing waves of 2,000 designers a week.  My Designer # is only 17036 which shows that this company is still very young and very new.  Truly an exciting ground floor opportunity for anyone that joins right now!!

After receiving my official wait list email, I had 4 days to officially sign up and choose my kit. Needless to say, I signed up in a matter of hours after receiving my official invitation to join Origami Owl®.  When you first join Origami Owl®, receiving your Starter kit is one of the most exciting moments in your business.  It's a box that represents a new beginning full of promise and hope.  The kit is the first step for women to be able to finally own their own business and live their dreams.

My kit arrived 3 business days after I signed up in a cute little box enclosed with a saying that read "Make Today Awesome."  How fun is that?  That day already was turning out to be pretty awesome because I was about to open a box full of pretty jewelry just for me!

I opened the box to see this cute little tote bag peeking out at me.
And inside the tote was full of beautiful chains, lockets, charms, plates and dangles....and a cute little owl.  Have I mentioned how much I love that Origami Owl's® color is turquoise?  Beautiful!
My hoot loot!
I think what struck me most was all the beautiful boxes and packaging that the Origami Owl® products come in.  The locket boxes are so beautiful!
And how cute are the Origami Owl® take out boxes?
All customer orders are packaged up into these adorable blue boxes.
When you first sign up to be an Origami Owl® Designer, you have the choice of ordering two different kits.   The Basic Business Packages is a great option for those that want to test out the products. It comes with over $325 worth of Origami Owl® supplies for only $149 . This helps people who are on a budget still get started as soon as possible.  I personally chose to order the $149 kit.  First, I felt it was a low risk investment.  I could easily earn back the expense of my kit with just a few orders.  Secondly, I felt that I could always add more items to my inventory once I got a feel for what my customers liked and what was popular.
The $399 kit is the 10-Person Party Package. The kit has inventory and supplies for two parties. The kit includes business supplies, 10 lockets, 108 charms and much more. This has everything you need to get started. You also earn $200 for your consultant numbers with this kit. If your budget allows, I would highly recommend this kit when you finally sign up.  Which kit you buy is entirely up to you. Both kits are very valuable in successfully kicking off your business.  The chart below explains in detail what comes in each kit, the choice is entirely up to you!
Once I had opened everything up, I couldn't wait to create a locket of my own!  A locket to wear and share this amazing opportunity with others.
This is my locket right now, it is my demo for now, however  I can not wait to add to it to truly tell MY story.  The picture just doesn't do the beauty of these lockets justice.
I hope I have answered all of your questions about Origami Owl® starter kits.  It was an exciting day when I received mine and I have received so many compliments on my locket already! Thank you so much for joining me in my journey, I hope you will visit again soon!!
***EDITED ON AUGUST 23, 2014: Hey Hoot Mamas!  I can not believe it has been almost 18 months since I have signed up as an Origami Owl Designer and purchased my kit.  So much has happened since then and I have absolutely loved sharing my amazing journey with all of you.  I have written a more recent post about the Origami Owl Starter Kit and I invite you to take a look, especially if you are considering becoming an Origami Owl Designer yourself.  If you have any questions about signing up as an Origami Owl Designer and which kit to purchase, I would be happy to help you out.  Please feel free to contact me anytime at hootmamalockets@yahoo.com.***
